Slovary searches dictionaries entirely on your device. No account, no sign-in, no advertising, no tracking. Once installed, it works with no network connection at all.

GCIDE, the GNU Collaborative International Dictionary of English, based on the public-domain Webster's 1913 — GPL.

Bring your own dictionaries

Slovary reads an open pack format and the widely used StarDict format. You can compile a dictionary yourself, host it anywhere, and load it into the app from a link or a file. Optional vector packs add meaning-based search to any dictionary you install.

We do not host, distribute or curate other people's dictionary content. The format is documented so anyone can build a compatible pack.

Dictionary lookups never leave your device. The app has no user accounts and collects no personal data.
